About JagInsights
JagInsights is a personal-finance learning site. Fifty-seven short money modules, each with a quiz. Nine budget calculators that never send what you type anywhere. Games like Budget Boss, because nobody finishes a lesson they find boring.
It is run by JagInsights LLC, a Virginia company. There is no ad network on this site, no analytics, and no third-party tracking. You are not the product here.

Who this is for
You, if nobody ever sat you down and explained this. First job, first lease, first credit card, first time looking at a paycheck and wondering where a third of it went. You do not need a finance background, a brokerage account, or spare money to start.
It is also for anyone who has been quietly embarrassed about not knowing something they feel like they should already know. There is no version of this site that makes you say that out loud.
The problem it solves
Money advice comes in two flavors and neither one works. There is the firehose: dense articles written for people who already understand the vocabulary. And there is the ninety-second clip that gets you excited and leaves you exactly where you started, because a hook is not a curriculum.
What is missing in the middle is boring and unglamorous. An order to learn things in. A way to check whether you actually understood. A calculator for the specific number you are stuck on. That middle is what JagInsights builds.
How this is different from generic finance content
It is sequenced, not scattered
The 57 modules are ordered, and each one ends with a quiz. You find out whether it landed before you move on. A blog post never tells you that.
It gives you tools, not just reading
Reading about the 50/30/20 rule is not the same as running your own numbers through it. The Budget Tools page has nine calculators: the 50/30/20 split, subscriptions, paycheck, emergency fund, net worth, housing, debt, investing, and crypto.
It is built to bring you back
Streaks, XP, and badges are not there to look clever. Financial literacy fails on follow-through, not on comprehension, so the site is built around returning on a Tuesday, not bingeing once and vanishing.
It does not monetize your attention
Most free finance content is free because something is being sold to you, or about you. This site has no advertising and no analytics of any kind. The Starter plan is what pays for it, which is why it exists.
What you actually get
Modules and quizzes. Fifty-seven modules covering budgeting, saving, debt, credit, and the practical life-skill topics that surround them. Each has lessons and a quiz you need to pass to clear it.
Budget Tools. Nine calculators, all running locally. Nothing you type into them leaves your device — the numbers are saved in your own browser, not on our servers. That is not a marketing line; there is no code on that page that sends your figures anywhere.
Games. Budget Boss puts you in front of money choices and curveballs, asks you to survive them, and scores you at the end. It is play money and it always will be.
What it costs
There is a free plan, and there is Starter at $1.99 a month. Payment runs through Stripe, so card details go straight to Stripe and JagInsights never sees or stores your card number. It renews monthly until you stop it, and you can cancel yourself from the billing page — no email, no retention call.
You can also delete your account outright whenever you want. Deleting cancels the subscription at the same time. Details are in the Terms.
What JagInsights is not
- Not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. It is general education. It knows nothing about your situation and cannot be tailored to it.
- Not a broker or a dealer. No brokerage accounts, no real trades, no real securities, no way to deposit or withdraw money.
- Not a stock market simulator. There is no live market data and no paper trading here. If that is what you came for, our sibling product JagSim does it.
- Not a replacement for a professional. For a real decision with real money, talk to someone licensed.
- Not a place where virtual things have value. XP, streaks, badges, cosmetics, and leaderboard positions are not property, cannot be cashed out, and have no monetary value.
How your data is handled
An account is an email address and a password, handled by Supabase. Your progress — quiz results, badges, XP, streak, and game stats — is stored against that account so it is still there next time.
Two things worth saying plainly. The Budget Tools stay on your device, as above. And the leaderboards are public to other signed-in members, so the username you pick is visible to them; pick accordingly.
The services this site depends on are Supabase for accounts and data, Stripe for payments, Cloudflare for hosting, and Google Fonts, which your browser fetches when a page loads. That is the whole list. The full picture is in the Privacy Policy.
Who builds it
JagInsights is operated by JagInsights LLC, a limited liability company registered in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Virginia SCC entity ID 11984631.

It is a small operation, which is the reason for a lot of the choices on this page. There is nobody here whose job is to sell your attention, and no budget for an ad network even if there were.
